External lines and SIP
An external line links A3.Telephony with another carrier or your company PBX. An outgoing line sends calls to your server, and an incoming line receives calls from it. This way you keep your carrier’s favorable rates and get A3.Telephony scenarios, recordings and analytics.

FAQ
Why check the line with a call to 8888?
The check confirms that the line belongs to you and that calls go through it. Until it is checked, the line is not used for calls, so a configuration error will not leave your company without service.
Can I combine my own line with A3.Telephony numbers?
Yes. External lines work alongside purchased numbers, and caller ID rules decide which number each outgoing call goes out from.
